Anita Mason

I started my real estate career in 2007 when transferred from Pretoria, South Africa to Washington DC. That year was a difficult year for the real estate market because foreclosures started flooding the market and driving prices lower, and seasoned realtors were forced to find other jobs. During this difficult market, I differentiated myself by providing outstanding service and adding value to my clients.

Before real estate, I traveled with my family to exotic places in Europe, Africa, and Asia. In Dakar, Senegal (West Africa), I was the America Embassy Recreation Association and Commissary Manager providing comfort food imported from the U.S. I provided food to other U.S. missions in West Africa and supported logistically CODEL, SOCOM, and Clinton POTUS and FLOTUS visits. In Manila, I was the Non-Immigrant Visa Professional Associate interviewing and adjudicating visa applications. When transferred to Pretoria, South Africa, I was a EUROPEAN COMMAND Office of Defense Cooperation Humanitarian Assistance Program Manager working on school and medical clinic construction projects for needy South Africans. Then I went to work for the Salvation Army Southern Africa as the PEPFAR HIV/AIDS Monitoring and Evaluations Manager.

The key to my success in these diverse positions is a strong sense of commitment in providing outstanding customer service. I am a life long learner and I enjoy overcoming new challenges. On the family front, I love to entertain at home and my four kids keep me busy.

I truly believe that real estate is a solid long-term investment, and I finally convinced my family and friends who loved stocks to switch to real estate. Income producing/rental properties could offer better long-term returns over the volatile stock market if you buy at the right price and location. I am active real estate investors, and own/manage several properties in northern Virginia and San Diego California. Let me be your guide in building a solid real estate portfolio.
